Heart & Blood

The average adult has about five liters of blood living inside of their body, coursing through their vessels, delivering essential elements, and removing harmful wastes. Without blood, the human body would stop working.

Blood is the fluid of life, transporting oxygen from the lungs to body tissue and carbon dioxide from body tissue to the lungs. Blood is the fluid of growth, transporting nourishment from digestion and hormones from glands throughout the body. Blood is the fluid of health, transporting disease fighting substances to the tissue and waste to the kidneys. Read more

Cancer

1 in 3 people will develop cancer during their lifetime, but cancer is not common in children or young people - it mainly occurs in the later years of life. Cancers can occur at any age, but the risk of developing cancer increases with age.

Over 70% of all newly diagnosed cancers occur in people aged 60 years or more. Many people with cancer can be cured. Even if a cancer cannot be cured, it can often be controlled with treatment for months or years. Read more

Chelation

Chelation is the process of removing unwanted metals from the bloodstream. In fact, chelation therapy is the only way to treat lead poisoning. But lead is not the only metal cleansed from the body through chelation. A chelation agent will also bind with most

Metals, mineral deposits, calcium-based plaques and other chemical toxins. Because of its positive impact on the bloodstream, chelation therapy has proven to benefit a number of medical conditions, including atherosclerosis and arteriosclerosis. Read more

Then one day, almost like a shock, one remembers how it was not to struggle to read anything! Yet the decline in eyesight can be fought against! Procedures exist today to slow down this atrophy and even reverse the conditions of cataract, glaucoma etc. There are a number of different approaches for this condition and we offer some of the class leading products below.  Hair

At any one time, about 10 percent of the hair on your scalp is in a resting phase. After 2 to 3 months, the resting hair falls out and new hair starts to grow in its place. This growing phase lasts for 2 to 6 years. Each hair grows approximately 1 centimeter per month during this phase.

About 90 percent of the hair on your scalp is growing at any one time. It is normal to shed some hair each day as part of this cycle. However, some people may experience excessive (more than normal) hair loss. Read more

Immune System

The human immune system is a truly amazing constellation of responses to attacks from outside the body. It has many facets, a number of which can change to optimize the response to these unwanted intrusions. The system is remarkably effective, most of the time.

An antigen is any substance that elicits an immune response, from a virus to a sliver. The immune system has a series of dual natures, the most important of which is self/non-self recognition. Parts of the immune system are antigen-specific (they recognize and act against particular antigens), systemic (not confined to the initial infection site, but work throughout the body), and have memory (recognize and mount an even stronger attack to the same antigen the next time).
Self/non-self recognition is achieved by having every cell display a marker based on the major histocompatibility complex (MHC). Any cell not displaying this marker is treated as non-self and attacked. The process is so effective that undigested proteins are treated as antigens. Sometimes the process breaks down and the immune system attacks self-cells. This is the case of autoimmune diseases like multiple sclerosis, systemic lupus and some forms of arthritis and diabetes. There are cases where the immune response to innocuous substances is inappropriate. This is the case of allergies and the simple substance that elicits the response is called an allergen. Joints and Bones

A need for strength makes the bones rigid, but if the skeleton consisted of one solid bone, movement would be impossible. Nature has solved this problem by dividing the skeleton into many bones and creating joints where the bones intersect.

Joints come in a variety of designs, each especially built for the limb it serves. Joints permit bodily movement and are held together by fibers called "ligaments". Joints are "oiled" continuously to prevent friction. Some joints, like those connecting the skull's series of bones, allow no movement. Others may permit only limited movement; the joints in the spine allow some movement in several directions. Most joints have a greater range of movement, and these are called "synovial" joints. Libido

Sexual desire is a normal and natural feeling for women and men. However, sexual desire can change over time, and can increase or decrease depending on the situation. Although we see couples on the TV and in movies that seem to have "perfect" love lives, this is rarely the case.

Sexuality, like all aspects of a relationship, takes effort to perfect. One of the things complicating discussions about sexual issues is that some people become worried about what is "normal" or "abnormal." A quick look at the magazine section of your store proves this, as most magazines have articles about sexual topics. To understand changes in sex drive, which is called libido in medical terminology, one must understand that every person, and every couple, has a different level of desire. Sexual desire often changes in response to outside forces, like stress. Plus, libido can decrease with certain medical conditions and by many medications. Read more

Parasites

Compromised health is a direct result of parasitical infestation in our bodies. Parasites live off our body's life-force and the sustenance that we ingest. In addition to a loss of nourishment and cellular damage, the toxicities produced by these creatures play havoc with our immune system and degrade the optimum health of their host. Sickness, disease, and numerous health challenges are the direct resultant of continued exposure and infestation. But parasites can be safely eliminated from the human body. Read more

Skin

The skin is often known as "the largest organ in the human body": this does not only (obviously) apply with regard to surface area, but also with regard to weight, as it weighs more than any single internal organ.

The skin on a person's face is seen by people that person interacts with. For some people, then, facial skin care is of importance, and cosmetics are made to deal with the appearance of the person's face and condition of the skin, such as pore control and blackhead cleansing.
As skin ages is becomes thinner and more easily damaged. Intensifying this effect is the decreasing ability of skin to heal itself. Skin sagging is caused by the fall in elasticity. Skin also receives less blood flow and lower gland activity.
In medicine, the branch concerned with the skin is called dermatology. Read more

Stress / Anxiety

The plague of the 21st Century, stress can all to often be a regular part of modern life, plus sometimes we are not aware that we are under stress as we go about our everyday lives in built up cities. But then when we retreat to a quiet, carefree place, like on holiday, then we realise how much pressure we are always under. Our ancestors did not have to cope with such “constant” stress, for them the issues were much more “on or off”. Today stress and anxiety can lead to permanently high levels of the “dark hormone” cortisol with its resulting damaging effects. There are a number of different approaches for this condition and we offer some of the class leading products below. Read more

Sugar Control

The loss of the regulation of glucose and insulin occurs more and more as we age. We don’t need to be diagnosed with diabetes to know that the older we become the more “diabetic” we behave. This is self evident by the fact that tests for diabetes are based on the patients age.

The loss of the body’s ability to regulate this vital source of energy has been extrapolated in the Neuroendocrine Theory of Aging and also in Syndrome X. Controlling sugar spikes, means controlling energy, controlling diet, controlling mood and controlling body composition. Diabetics are known to age much faster than their equivilant non-diabetic counterparts and have much higher levels of glycated proteins, it is clear that sugar control has many antiaging benefits. There are a number of different approaches for this condition and we offer some of the class leading products below. Read more

Teeth and Gums

Eating sugar, as you probably already know, is a major cause of tooth decay. When and how often you eat sugar may be more important than how much you eat.
When you eat sugary foods or drink sodas frequently throughout the day, the enamel that protects your teeth is constantly exposed to acids.

Hard candies, cough drops, and breath mints are especially harmful because they dissolve slowly in your mouth. Many experts suggest that you take a 3-hour break between eating foods containing sugar.
Sugary or starchy foods eaten with a meal are less harmful to your teeth than when they're eaten alone, possibly because the production of saliva, which washes away the sugar and bacteria, is increased. However, sugary foods eaten before you go to bed can be very damaging (especially if you don't brush your teeth afterward) because you don't produce as much saliva when you sleep. Read more

Vitamins

Everybody critically needs vitamins to work, grow, and develop properly, which makes them extremely important on a daily basis. But it doesn't stop there. The human body also requires vitamins to do many things, such as ward off disease, boost immune system response, and even improve overall moods!
When the skin gets a cut, the human body needs a good number of vitamins to clot. When one gets sick, the body requires a more than average amount of vitamins to help fight the virus (it is good to note here again that the typical diet does not even provide the average amount of vitamins needed on a daily basis). Some vitamins even help produce energy throughout the body. People still feeling tired regardless of making good efforts to eat all the right things may very well be not consuming the appropriate amount vitamins!

Most people don't realize just how extremely critical vitamins are. For starters, vitamins regulate reactions that occur in metabolism, unlike other dietary components known as macronutrients (fats, carbohydrates, proteins). One can consume all the right amounts of these fats, carbohydrates, and proteins, get all the exercise needed, but unless there ALSO are VERY ADEQUATE amounts of vitamins in the body to regulate how these macronutrients are used, benefits achieved will be SLIM TO NONE! Absence of just a single vitamin blocks one or more specific metabolic reactions in a cell and eventually may disrupt the metabolic balance within a cell and in our entire body.

With the exception of Vitamin C (ascorbic acid), all of the water-soluble vitamins (meaning vitamins that need to be replenished EACH and EVERY day because they are flushed out) assist enzymes that function in energy transfer/metabolism of fats, carbohydrates, and proteins. In other words, it is extremely difficult for our bodies to break down these nutrients into energy we can use without vitamins. THESE VITAMINS ARE SCARCELY FOUND IN ANY OF THE FOODS IN A TYPICAL DIET. SUPPLEMENTATION IS NEEDED! Read more

Weight

If someone is obese, it means they are seriously overweight as a result of having too much body fat. The exact level of obesity is determined by reference to the Body Mass Index (BMI). A score of 30+ on the BMI indicates obesity.

Obesity and Disease
Obesity has been linked to several serious medical conditions, including diabetes, heart disease, high blood cholesterol, high blood pressure, and stroke. It is also associated with higher rates of certain types of cancer.
Worldwide Obesity Trends
The worldwide incidence of obesity is increasing, In 1998, the World Health Organization (WHO) published a report entitled Obesity: Preventing and Managing the Global Epidemic, which classified obesity as a growing epidemic.
In the United States, obesity is the most common chronic disease, affecting more than 1 in 4 of all Americans, including children, and its incidence has been steadily increasing for the past 20 years.
In Europe, Australia/New Zealand, the Middle East, and the remaining portions of the Americas, the occurrence of obesity appears to be increasing and is now between 10 and 20 percent. The prevalence of obesity is still fairly low in China, Japan, and many countries in Africa. Read more

Wellbeing

Detoxification is the process of clearing toxins from the body or neutralizing or transforming them, and clearing excess mucus and congestion. Many of these toxins come from our diet, drug use, and environmental exposure, both acute and chronic.

Internally, fats, especially oxidized fats and cholesterol, free radicals, and other irritating molecules act as toxins. Functionally, poor digestion, colon sluggishness and dysfunction, reduced liver function, and poor elimination through the kidneys, respiratory tract, and skin all add to increased toxicity. Detoxification involves dietary and lifestyle changes that reduce intake of toxins and improve elimination. Avoidance of chemicals, from food or other sources, refined food, sugar, caffeine, alcohol, tobacco, and many drugs helps minimize the toxin load. Read more
